Getting ready to teach!

We have a great list of words kids will need to work on the gecko and lizard projects compiled by Melody. We'll be teaching English as we learn about lava lizards and geckos. I'll post the list soon.

The OWP crew

The OWP crew--Janel, Melody, Cynthia, Sarah, David and Megan-- is getting ready for the trip to the Galapagos Islands to teach with teachers from Arizona. I have had shots, looked at scuba/snorkeling gear, bought sunscreen, water shoes, and a water-proof jacket for the boat rides between islands.

The OWP folk have been meeting to plan our lessons. More on that later.

Here is what one of my friends who is a web guru sent me about adding pictures:
To add a pic, here's what to do. Assume the image is already on the Web (like the lizard in the picture here).
1) go to the URL and view the picture.
2) copy the URL (the address). You can right click and find properties for the URL.
4) Return to the Blog Post by clicking Edit Post. Select the Add-Image option from the Tool Bar. It's a blue picture at the far right of the Tool Bar.
5) Select the option on the right (...add an image from the Web) and PASTE the URL .
6) Selected 'right justify button' (or left, center, ...).
7) Hit Upload button.

That's it. You can carefully adjust its position, but be careful. Hit Publish Post when done to make sure your Blog is updated with the new picture.
